Mix Rooms
Garmat(R) USA Paint Mix Rooms are designed to provide
a well illuminated, clean ventilated work area for
mixing applications. These units utilize a positive
pressure environment to help eliminate contaminated
shop air from interfering with the mixing process.
The Garmat(R) USA paint mix room is a key element
when considering your paint shop requirements. We
offer several standard models as wellas custom models
to meet the needs that are specific to your body
shop. Garmat(R) USA Paint Mix Rooms meet NFPA33
codes for paint storage.
Garmat(R) USA Paint Mix Rooms [ETL REPORT #567495]
are designed and are ETL listed as being in compliance
with the 1995 NFPA 33 guidelines for paint storage.
MODELS
The exterior dimensions on standard models are-
7'10" x 6'7" through 7'10" x 19'
all with double wall construction, includes 2 fans
and 2 to 4 4-tube light fixtures depending on size.
CONSTRUCTION Structural components utilize electro
galvanized steel. Walls are double panel, solid
interlock construction with durable powder coated
finish. The door is 3' wide and is located on the
front wall. It is sealed by closure in rubber compression
gasket and fitted with a tempered safety glass observation
window.
LIGHTING Each mixing room is equipped with overhead
sealed 4-tube light ID.1ureS utilizing color corrected
lighting for accurate color mixing and matching.
VENTILATION Shop air is drawn into the room with
a 1000 CFM intake fan, filtered and exhausted with
a 900 CFM extract fan ensuring fresh air constantly
circulating through the room.
FILTRATION Air intake filters measure 14"
x 25" x I" and are a fiberglass furnace
filter. The air intake filters are fitted at the
roof around the intake fan.
CODE COMPLIANCE: NFPA 33 requires that paint mix
rooms be installed to contain any possible spills
that may occur. Paint mix rooms cannot be installed
within 6 feet of a spray area. NFPA 33 requires
that paint mix rooms contain automatic fire suppression
equipment. Three hundred (300) U.S. gallons of material
(2 gallons per square foot) is the maximum paint
storage capacity. When in accordance with the 1995
NFPA 33,6-3.2.1, a mixing room can be closer than
6ft. End user is responsible for installation of
the equipment based on local code requirements.
